With 35 years of experience in post-secondary preparation, Candace Powell Kinard is a Certified Financial Instructor and an Educational Consultant inspiring organizations, students, and their families to bring educational dreams to life.

 

Candace's rich past experience includes working in college admission, managing and creating new college access program initiatives, supervision of school-based practitioners, and managing college access centers that provided walk-in college planning services to middle school, high school students, and adults.

Recognized By Her Higher Education Peers

She has been recognized by her peers and was awarded the Gary M. Kelsey Human Relations Award. She is currently the chairperson for the Philadelphia NACAC National College Fair.  Her passion and commitment for the issue of access to higher education can be seen through her work as an Advisory Council member for the Philadelphia College Prep Roundtable, a networking organization for college preparatory professionals, Villanova’s Undergraduate Advisory Council, the New Castle County Coordinator with Stand by Me Delaware, scholarship judge and reader, and other higher education advisory committees in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
